케랄라 디지털 대학교(Digital University Kerala), 전자정보 물질 센터(Centre for Materials for Electronics Technologies, C-MET), 타타 스틸(Tata Steel)은 인도 최초 그래핀 연구 혁신 센터(India Innovation Centre for Graphene) 설립을 위해 양해각서(MoU)를 체결했다. 인도 정부와 케랄라(Kerala) 주 정부가 그래핀(Graphene)응용 분야 혁신을 위해 설립한 인도 그래핀 혁신 센터(India Innovation Centre for Graphene)는 그래핀(Graphene) 및 2D 재료 관련 연구 개발, 제품 혁신, 용량 구축 활동 등을 수행할 예정이다. KN발라고팔(KN Balagopal) 케랄라(Kerala)주 재무부(Ministry of Finance) 장관 및 P.라지브(P. Rajeeve) 케랄라(Kerala)주 산업부(Ministry of Industries) 장관이 참석한 가운데, 사지 고피나스(Saji Gopinath) 케랄라 디지털 대학교(Digital University Kerala) 부총장(Vice-Chancellor), N라후(N Raghu) 전자정보 물질 센터 (C-MET) 센터장, 데바시시 바타차르지(Debashish Bhattacharjee) 타타 스틸(Tata Steel) 부회장이 양해각서(MoU)에 사인하였다.

KN발라고팔(KN Balagopal) 케랄라(Kerala)주 재무부(Ministry of Finance) 장관은 그래핀 연구 혁신 센터(India Innovation Centre for Graphene) 설립은 새로운 스타트업(Startup)과 중소기업들이 그래핀 특성에 대한 장점을 활용하여 새로운 제품 개발 및 서비스 혁신을 통한 남부지역 산업의 활력을 불러일으킬 것이라고 전했다. P.라지브(P. Rajeeve) 케랄라(Kerala)주 산업부(Ministry of Industries) 장관은 인도 그래핀 혁신 센터(India Innovation Centre for Graphene)가 케랄라(Kerala)주 지역 산업에 기회를 제공하고, 창업 생태계 및 산업 활성화에 도움이 될 것이라고 전했다.
