India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has initiated a pioneering 'Industry 4.0:
A Baseline Survey among MSMEs' to support micro, small, and medium enterprises
(MSMEs) and startups in adopting advanced technologies. The 60-day survey aims to
identify challenges and preferences across key sectors in northern and southern India, paving
the way for targeted policy interventions and fostering digital transformation. By focusing
on AI, IoT, cloud computing, and upcoming 5G/6G networks, the initiative aims to enhance
innovation and competitiveness among MSMEs, ensuring their resilience in a rapidly
evolving technological landscape.
