Agnikul, a space-tech startup incubated at IIT Madras, successfully launched its Agnibaan

rocket on May 30, 2024. Powered by India’s first patented single-piece 3D-printed semicryogenic

engine, this milestone marks a significant step towards affordable and frequent

space missions. Supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) through the

National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD), the startup

developed cutting-edge technologies that enhance engine reliability and speed up
