Indian Scientists Achieve Breakthrough in Quantum-Based Data Encryption

Indian scientists at the Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru, have developed a new

method to generate truly unpredictable random numbers, enhancing data encryption and

cybersecurity. Through a photonic experiment, they demonstrated the violation of Leggett

Garg Inequalities (LGI), which is a measure of "quantumness," ensuring secure random

number generation resistant to tampering. This breakthrough has significant applications in

cryptographic key generation, secure passwords, and digital signatures, offering robust

protection in the digital world.
