Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that India will establish a robust National

Research Foundation (Anusandhan NRF) to revolutionize research and development. This

foundation aims to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors, including industry

and academia. Dr. Singh emphasized that while India has no shortage of scientific talent, an

enabling environment has been lacking, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership is

now providing. The foundation will facilitate collaboration and innovation, including in nextgeneration

technologies like AI, ML, and quantum technologies. Dr. Singh also highlighted  

the government's efforts to relax drone and geospatial policies and open the space sector to

private players. Dr. Sethuraman Panchnathan, Director of the U.S. National Science

Foundation, expressed confidence in India's transformative efforts in R&D and congratulated

Dr. Singh on his support for international scientific collaboration
