Experts Explore AI-Driven Innovations for Healthcare at Joint Conference by DST and Technology Innovation Hubs

On September 5, 2024, leading medical professionals, engineers, scientists, and industry experts gathered at the iHub Anubhuti IIITD Foundation of IIIT Delhi to discuss AI-driven solutions that could revolutionize healthcare. The event, titled "AI in Healthcare - Bridging the Gap Between Medicine and Engineering," was jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and five Technology Innovation Hubs (TiHs) under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), with co-support from AIIMS, Delhi.

Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of DST, highlighted the potential of NM-ICPS to integrate AI with clinical sciences, leveraging India's vast data sets to improve healthcare access. The conference emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration to address critical healthcare challenges, optimize clinical processes, and enhance patient care.
