South Korea (MSIT) Invests 198 Billion KRW in Quantum S&T Development This Year

   The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) announced that it will invest 198 billion KRW (137.41 million USD) in 24 projects in the field of quantum science and technology this year. This is a 54.1% increase from the previous year.

   In the technology field of this project, the Quantum Computing Service and Utilization System Construction Project, which helps domestic installation of quantum computers, the Quantum Information and Communication Technology Engineering Technology Development project, which helps the localization of quantum communication materials, and the Future Quantum Information Measurement Methodology Research Project will be promoted.

   In addition, in the field of international cooperation, a cooperative platform will be established through the Global Partnership Leading University Support Project for Quantum Science and Technology, utilizing the global partnerships of domestic universities.
